Scholvia at the Selangor International Business Summit ASEAN 2026 — Bandung
Scholvia attended the International Education Forum — "Equitable Accessibility: Broadening the Opportunities to Higher Education in ASEAN" — held as part of the Selangor International Business Summit at ASEAN 2026 (SIBS@ASEAN 2026), at Pullman Bandung Grand Central, 9–10 July 2026.
About the Forum
The International Education Forum was a high-level session within SIBS@ASEAN 2026, bringing together education leaders, government representatives, and industry stakeholders to discuss how to expand and equalise access to higher education across Southeast Asia.
The forum focused on the opportunities and challenges of strengthening Malaysia-Indonesia educational collaboration — a conversation that sits directly at the heart of what Scholvia does.
Key Speakers
The forum featured insights from prominent figures including:
Mr. Novie Tajuddin — CEO of EMGS (Education Malaysia Global Services), the official body managing Student Pass applications for all international students in Malaysia. Mr. Novie shared his perspective on how Malaysia's education system is positioned to welcome more international students, particularly from Indonesia.
Dr. Halilul Khairi — Rector of IPDN (Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri), Indonesia's national institute for governance studies. Dr. Halilul spoke on the importance of higher education collaboration between Malaysia and Indonesia as a foundation for regional development.
What This Means for Scholvia
Attending SIBS@ASEAN 2026 reinforced several key realities for Scholvia:
- Demand for cross-border education between Malaysia and Indonesia is growing — supported at the highest institutional levels
- The quality and accessibility of Malaysian universities continues to improve, backed by government-level commitment
- Equitable access to international education is not just an aspiration — it is an active policy priority for both Malaysia and Indonesia
These conversations validate the work Scholvia does every day — helping students who may not have the connections, resources, or information to navigate the process alone.
Thank You
We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Sentosa Ilham and UniKL for the invitation to attend this meaningful forum. The insights gained from SIBS@ASEAN 2026 will directly inform how we guide students and families throughout 2026 and beyond.
